As someone who’s more than happy to drink instant coffee, being able to pull an espresso shot and froth milk does make a lovely treat from time to time.

This morning was one such day.  Just look at that latte art!

After massive winds and rain last night, I didn’t sleep all that well, so woke up a little late and had to rush to get into the office on time.  This meant I didn’t have coffee and toast for breakfast as usual, and settled for banana and rolled oats with milk instead.

Fast forward to mid morning, and I came to a natural break in my work, so popped back into the house to make a coffee.  It may sound dumb, especially as a consultant who is very aware of operating at peak efficiency, but I do love the slow ritual of making coffee.  Anyway, ten minutes later I’m back in my office, enjoying a great latte in my pirate mug.

Now… back to work.
